Terrible service

Terrible service. Twice I've experienced that they've changed my flight departure times without notifying me, meaning that first thing I know about the change is when I myself log onto their website a few days before my date of travel. Not okay to give no notice of this - last time I was in a real pickle because it had been moved to a flight 13hours earlier meaning I had to be in the airport in the middle of the night - had to go directly from my friends wedding, leave earlier than I meant to and no alchol intake. Would be nice to have known this as soon as the change was made and not just because you happen to log in and check a couple of days in advance. And as I said, same thing happened once before as well. And also, my friends travelled with them a few months back to visit me as I live abroad. My friends agreed to check in their hand luggage due to limited space in the cabin. Then delays and changes to their transfer flight meant that their luggage was lost. Didn't get it back for the whole duration of their holiday - and they spent most of it trying again and again to get in touch and try and figure out how they could get it back. So frustrating, and when they tried to get compensation for all the things they had to buy, to be able to clean and clothe themselves, compensation was refused. KLM are often several times more expensive than other flight companies but it's certainly not the customer service you're paying for. I will not be wasting my money here anymore. Flight travel is so unreliable at the moment, you're better to go by train/ferry/car if possible - at least you're more likely to know you'll not end up in a horribly frustrating situation and you're more likely to get compensation if you do. If not possible, fly cheap and then at least you'll have a few more bob to get you out of the mess you're likely to end up in... This company is not worth your hard earned money...

A third rate airline

The standards of KLM service have fallen dramatically recently.
The food they serve up is inedible and the wine undrinkable.
The staff are generally good but the top management and CEO do not understand the meaning of good customer service.
Meanwhile their fares have sky rocketed making them totally uncompetitive.

Cancelled my flight from Gothenburg to…

Cancelled my flight from Gothenburg to Amsterdam without notice and didn't give a reason - I found out at the airport. Wouldn't put me on the following 2 flights despite there being space. Flew me the next day via Munich even though there was a direct flight.

Trying to claim compensation and their website is not working property.

KLM used to be ok but rapidly heading to Ryanair Territory

My Amsterdam KLM Airport experience

I would to thank the KLM flight attendant(black Lady) who helped me and my daughter get a flight to Birmingham(home) after we missed our connection due to delays. I found her to be very informative,helpful, polite and understanding. She went above and deyond her duties to help me and eased my stress levels in the difficult time.

I don't want to even give one star

I don't want to even give one star. Shocking service, plane delayed by one hour suitcases not arrived. I've phoned multiple times, told to be patient. I'm flying home tomorrow still no luggage. I will have to start all over again. I shall not be flying klm again

KLM lost my baggage and there is zero customer service

KLM lost my baggage on July 18, 2022. I filed a claim on Aug 2, 2022 and have heard absolutely nothing since. There is no way to get in touch and talk to a human - this airline is abominable.

More likely to invent a time machine then reach KLM help!

You are more likely to invent a time machine, go back in time, and not book a KLM flight in the first place, then you are to get through to KLM Custormer Service to help you with your issue!

Late cancellation, hard to reach them

Less than a week in advance, they cancel the outflight. They then let you know that you can re-schedule on another day or time, but that for some inexplicable reason, this cannot be done online. Reaching them through chat takes hours. When you finally reach them, they stop replying and then drop out of the conversation. Calling them by phone is possible, but for another inexplicable reason, they do not let you know your place in line, or an approximate waiting time. Once you do get in touch with them, the representative does not seem aware that the original flight was cancelled, but eventually decides to help.

Inferior seats make flight miserable --- hear me!

The seats are cheap and after just one hour you feel the strain on your body. This same thing happened on more than one KLM flight.

My advice to KLM -- If you sit on a cheaply constructed seat, it swallows all the other 'good' features. To the point, that I will avoid long hauls with KLM

Poorly organized

They manage to be 10 minutes late in the precise moment that will. Make them lose the flight window so then you have to wait 1 hour delay in the plane for a 10 minutes original delay... Lol
